Chimney liners are essential to protect your chimney and home from the dangers of carbon monoxide and other harmful gases. Most chimneys constructed after the 1930s are lined with clay tiles. Clay tiles have an expected life span of 50 years.
Overtime, the clay liner can begin to deteriorate. As the liner degrades it can lead to dangerous blockages, cracks and compromising ventilation.
When relining your chimney, several factors are taken into account, including the size of the firebox and the length of the chimney, to determine the ideal size of the liner. If necessary, we remove the existing clay flue tiles to install the appropriate stainless steel liner and insulation. The stainless steel liner is installed from the smoke chamber to the top of the chimney and insulated. Once the liner is in place, we seal it to the smoke chamber using a 2000-degree rated mortar. After the installation is complete, we ensure that all debris and materials are properly removed and disposed of from your property.
